You might not believe it, but tomorrow night, Monday Dec 13th, will be our last practice of the semester!!

It has been an awesome semester, and I really had a great time meeting all the new members this year (you old members are not bad either ;P ) and helping everyone out. Most importantly, I hope YOU all enjoyed yourselves as well!

**As for next semester, I will actually be working and taking the semester off, so I have passed down the President’s position to Shriya Patel. This will be her 3rd year here, and has all the experience/leadership skills necessary. She already did a great job organizing/leading the team for a smooth Regionals last month.
Also, regarding the VP position, Kenneth So is passing it down to Poley Cheng (but he’ll still be around). I have much trust and faith in these two, so I know that you guys will be in good hands! =D

So since it will probably be FOREVER until the next time I see most of you, it would be awesome to see everyone come out to our last and final practice of the semester! =)

Thanks again for making this past semester such a memorable one!

Our first practice of the season will start TONIGHT from 7:45pm – 9:30pm in the College Ave Upper Gym! Since so many people have asked, YES it is okay to come late, leave early, miss the first practice, etc… This is just the first of many practices, so if you can make it, that’s great! If not, there’s always next time!

We keep getting emails asking when club practices will start again, so here it is: Thursday, January 28th.

Starting the new Spring semester, we have a few minor changes to our practice schedule. Unfortunately we no longer have Friday afternoons (we were lucky to have them last semester), but our Thursday night practice will extend from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, and Saturdays will remain the same from 2-5pm — All in the College Ave Upper Gym.

What you have been waiting for is finally here!! Starting next Thursday to Saturday, October 1-3, we will be conducting Round Robins to determine our A, B (Co-ed) and Women’s teams!!

This year, instead of having SEPARATE try outs for A & B teams, we will just have one giant pool for anyone who wants to try out for the Co-ed team, and another pool for the Women’s team. For Co-ed, we’ll take *roughly* the top 6-8, and the next 4-6 will be considered B team. It all depends on how many people try out, and the level of the competition. Same things applies for the Women. At the very least, we need a minimum of 4, so if you want to secure that spot on the team, just make top 4! :)

If you have the SLIGHTEST interest in playing competitions, no matter what your level is, we invite you to come and try out at the very least! You have nothing to lose! :)

**If you’d like to try out, please send back an email to rutgerstabletennis@gmail.com with your name ASAP so we can start planning out draws ahead of time. **

If you are not planning on tryout out, we can’t guarantee that there will be tables available for open play (depending on the number of people trying out), so just be aware that the gym will be pretty filled up next week.

[Note: Try outs are only open to Rutgers Undergrad/Grad Students]

To those who showed up at 7, I’m really really sorry about the confusion, but there had been a schedule change that we were not notified of until I got there. From now on, we will have practice from 7:45 – 9:15pm.

Also, as a reminder, we will be having practice again TOMORROW (Friday 9/11) from 12-3pm, so hopefully you’ll get more playing time then if you didn’t get to play too much tonight.
