Club Equipment

Tables and nets

The Club has the use of six high-quality Donic Compact Automat tables, which are all in excellent condition. We are very lucky to have them, and they are very expensive, so please be careful with them (e.g. don’t hit them with your racket when you lose a point; this will not be good for the table, your racket, or your game!) The Club also owns a number of nets. NB: There is in fact another table, exactly like the other six that will be put into place on Busch campus inside Werblin in an in closed room for hardcore practices. For reasons unclear at present, it is not yet operational, but we will announce and send out an e-mail as soon as it is. You will be given access to it through your RU id swipe card.

Rackets

The club owns a number of “Double Fish” rackets. If using a Club racket, please be careful with it. Don’t bang it on the tables, or the walls, or your opponent’s head, or anywhere else! They cost money to replace. Some of these have not been replaced for a few years, so bringing your own racket is a good idea until we buy some new ones.

Balls

We are in the process of ordering a NEW supply of few hundred “Stiga Select” balls. But please be careful with them. We realize that balls will get broken — they have a limited life — but please try not to break them through careless behavior (e.g. stopping a ball that is rolling on the floor by stepping on it is NOT recommended).

Table tennis robot

We also own a somewhat old, but fully-functional, table tennis robot, which can throw out balls with quite a terrifying amount of top-spin or chop. A great way to practice your returns!

T-Shirts for sale

We have RUTTC T-shirts for sale, same ones that our high ranked team members wear when they compete. The RUTTC T-shirts can be purchased on-line through SABO’s website for 15.53 or in-person for 15$.
