How To Join?
Everyone from the Rutgers community, both students and faculty, are welcome to join the Club.
Want to be a member?
Just come to the Upper Gym on College Avenue. There will be a couple of forms you need to fill out. The first thing is the “Release Form” (all members of all Rutgers College sports clubs are required to do this). The on-line form is always available at: Standard Safe Practices and Procedures and takes few minutes to complete. After you fill that out, there is also a membership fee of $25/semester ($40 for the year, if you join both semesters).
The money goes to pay for purchases of new equipment that will remain with the club. Some of the money may be used for organizing club events, recruiting events, advertising for the club, and fundraising events. In some rare cases, the membership dues may be requested to go towards things not specified above (such as exclusively RUTTC team events) the club shall vote on such use of funds through either the forum, or submission of votes either in-person or by e-mail to the club Treasurer (or else Vice President).
The use of funds is approved through majority vote, not voting within a week, or specified period of time longer than a week, is counted as approval of the use of funds.
The membership dues can be paid directly to the Treasurer (Shriya Patel), or can be paid online. On-line payment is done through Student Activities Business Office website (SABO), and requires an extra 3.5% processing fee, making the membership dues approximately $25.89 if paid on-line.
